About Wonder Nights
Wonder Nights is one of the more production-led shared Christmas parties in the City. The evening opens with free-flowing sparkling wine and cocktails, then moves into a three-course dinner under a starlit ceiling with entertainment acts running between the courses rather than after them.
City Central at the HAC is a purpose-built event space with high ceilings and full production lighting. The central dining layout is designed to convert into a dancefloor later in the evening, so the room changes character without your guests having to move to a different space.
From 21:30 the night shifts: a live band plays, late-night pizza is served at 22:30 and a DJ takes over at 23:00 through to carriages at 00:30. Electric dodgems and a photobooth are available on the night on a pay-per-use basis.
The practical detail worth knowing is the table rule. Tables seat 8 to 12 guests, or 16 and above — the venue cannot seat groups of 13, 14 or 15, because every table needs a minimum of eight. Worth checking your headcount against before you plan the evening.

- Free-range chicken terrine, winter vegetable piccalilli and sage bread crisps (GFO)
- Vegan: cauliflower mousse topped with romanesco, woodland mushrooms and pickled shallot (VG, GF)

- Dry-aged beef sirloin and sticky ox cheek, potato and truffle gratin, watercress emulsion, caramelised shallot (GF)
- Vegan: root vegetable wellington with cranberries, spiced red cabbage, parsnip and vanilla velouté (VG)

Tables and booking

- It is not possible to book for 13, 14 or 15 guests — every table needs a minimum of 8.

- Yes, up to a point. A free-flowing sparkling wine and cocktail reception is included for the first hour, then house wine, beer and soft drinks are included until 21:30. After that you can either buy a Gold or Platinum wristband for the whole group, or use the cash bar.
