What is a shared Christmas party?

A shared Christmas party is an organised party night where several companies attend the same event on the same date, each with its own table. You buy places rather than hiring a venue.

Because the cost of the room, the dinner, the entertainment and the production is split across every company in the room, a shared party can include aerial performers, a live band and full production lighting for £85 to £149 + VAT per person — a level of production no team of forty could fund on its own.

How they work

How shared Christmas parties work

  1. 1
Pick a date and a budget

December demand is concentrated into a few nights. Deciding the date first narrows the market fastest.

  2. 2
    Shortlist two or three parties

Filter by area, budget and style, then compare what's actually included — particularly the drinks.

  3. 3
    Tell us your headcount

We check genuine availability with the venue rather than guessing, and flag anything nearby that suits you better.

  4. 4
    Confirm and forget about it

The operator handles the contract and sends a function sheet for dietary requirements. There is nothing to run on the night.

Why use us

One place to compare, instead of nineteen websites

We're London event specialists. This site exists so a corporate organiser can see the whole shared-party market side by side rather than opening twenty venue pages and trying to normalise the prices.

Everything compared in one place

Prices, dates, timings, inclusions and minimum bookings for every party, in the same format — including the details venue sites bury.

Recommendations, not a list

Tell us your date, budget and area and we'll say which options genuinely fit, including when the answer is 'none of these'.

Honest on price

Every price on this site excludes VAT, because that's how the venues quote and how your finance team books. We never compare a gross price against a net one.

Help through to booking

From the first enquiry to the function sheet. We're London event specialists — this is what we do the rest of the year too.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is a shared Christmas party?
A shared Christmas party is an organised party night where several companies attend the same event on the same date, each with its own table. You buy places rather than hiring a venue, so the cost of the room, the dinner, the entertainment and the production is split across everyone attending. Read the full explanation.
How much does a shared Christmas party in London cost?
Between £85 and £149 + VAT per person for the ticket. Add a drinks package where drinks aren't included and the realistic all-in figure is £130 to £180 + VAT per person. See the full cost breakdown.
Do we get our own table?
Yes. At every party we list, your group is seated together at its own table or tables for the evening — you are not seated among strangers. Two parties go further and give your group a private dining room for the meal: the Murder Mystery at Tower Hill and The Imposters at Victoria.
Are drinks included?
It depends on the party. All-inclusive tickets include unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks from 8pm to 12:30am. Others include a reception drink and then sell a package, or run a cash bar. See which parties include drinks, or read our drinks packages guide.
What dates are shared Christmas parties held?
Across late November and December 2026. The busiest nights are Thursday 10 and Friday 11 December, which between them carry most of the London market's demand. Midweek dates and the week beginning 14 December are cheaper and easier to book. See every date.
What is the minimum booking?
Eight to ten guests at most London venues. Minimum bookings, maximum group sizes and table rules are listed on each individual party page — and there are some specific ones worth checking, such as Wonder Nights, which cannot seat groups of 13, 14 or 15.
