About Murder Mystery
The Murder Mystery is the best icebreaker on the site. Your group has its own private dining room for the meal, so the party is yours until the afterparty — and within twenty minutes of sitting down a costumed detective has interrupted proceedings to announce a murder.
The mystery unfolds across the three courses. Suspects are questioned between courses, clues are revealed, and some guests get folded into the storyline whether they planned to or not. Roles are handed out in advance. It is the format to pick if your team does not know each other well, or if half the room usually stands at the bar all night.
After the mystery resolves, you move into the shared afterparty: dancefloor from 10pm, casino tables running alongside, bar until midnight with last orders at 11:45pm and carriages at 12:30am. It is a slightly earlier finish than the ballroom parties at Tower Hill, which some organisers prefer.
The hotel has 583 bedrooms, which makes the logistics simple for a group travelling in. Note the structure: private dining for the meal, shared entertainment afterwards — you are not sharing a room with other companies during the mystery itself.

Menus may change if certain ingredients are unavailable. All dietary requirements are catered for — once you have booked you will be sent a function sheet to record them. Kosher food is available via a separate caterer and incurs an additional charge.

- Do we get our own room at the Murder Mystery?
- Yes — the meal and the mystery take place in a private dining room for your group. The entertainment after dinner is shared with other companies.
- Do guests have to take part?
- Roles are assigned beforehand and some guests are drawn into the storyline, but nobody is forced to perform. Most of the interaction is questioning suspects and working out the clues from your table.
- What time does the Murder Mystery finish?
- The bar closes at midnight with last orders at 11:45pm, and carriages are at 12:30am — about half an hour earlier than the ballroom parties at Tower Hill.
